This shirt was produced in collaboration with South Side artist Kahari Blackburn. Kahari is a fourth generation Chicagoan and 3rd generation artist. For this collaboration, Kahari explored the resilience of the South Sider. Inspired by a Nikki Giovanni quote, we engaged with the idea that Black Americans have the exceptional ability to “take what we have to make what we need.”
